This is the third an final article detailing the organization and operations of North korean intelligence during 1967-1971. This installment details the organization and operations of the Reconnaissance Bureau and its subordinate units:
DMZ Police Department, Foot Reconnaissance Department, Intelligence Department, Political Department, Special (espionage) Department, Technical (radio and cryptography) Department, Foreign Language College, the 17th Foot Reconnaissance Brigade, 124th Army Unit, 283rd Army Unit and the 38th Airborne Brigade. It also touches upon the establishment of the VIII Special Purpose Corps, 907th Army Unit, 198th Army Unit, and sea escort units. The article contains eight organizational charts and two color photographs.
